Chris Morcom Director of Hewison Private Wealth provides expert advice to Money and Life on why an estate plan is so important and when you should make a start on yours. Read the article here

Having a will doesn’t seem that important when you’re caught up with the business of living. But like getting a job, owning a home or having kids, getting your estate plan sorted is really just another part of growing up. In a recent interview by Money and Life, Chris Morcom takes the view that sorting out an estate plan as soon as you’re earning a salary makes sense. “Your super balance may be close to zero, but you’re still likely to have insurance through super and a life cover benefit to pass on,” says Chris. “So although your will should be fairly simple at this stage, it’s still worth having to ensure this asset is transferred as you would intend.”
