The Hewison Foundation is still celebrating a brilliant turnout at last week’s annual Trivia Night. The Crafty Squire in the city was a full house, heaving with lots of laughter and friendly competition amongst our 100 guests. Collectively, we were able to raise $9000 all whilst having fun!

A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this record fundraising effort at our much-anticipated Trivia Night. The funds raised will significantly contribute to the Hewison Foundation, which in its tenth year, is supporting three charities as nominated by Hewison Private Wealth staff. This year we are proud to be supporting You Matter, the Mirabel Foundation, and the Melbourne Men’s Group.

Our Trivia Master for the night was Brian Nankervis, a comedian, actor, and writer who is best known for his role as co-host of the popular music quiz show RocKwiz. Nankervis entertained the crowd with his witty questions, hilarious anecdotes, and musical trivia, igniting the crowd into full chorus with some classic hits throughout the night. Thank you, Brian, you certainly elevated the experience for all with your passion and energy!

There were some amazing silent auction items up for grabs thanks to the generous donations of many of our friends and partners, who without, we would not have been able to achieve the results we did – a huge thank you once again for your support. Of course, congratulations to our winning table from Open Markets, those bonus points really mattered in the end – we hope you enjoyed your winnings from the wheelbarrow!

Hewison Foundation Director, Creina Lister, thanked the guests, sponsors, and staff who volunteered their time to support the Hewison Foundation. She said the Trivia Night was a wonderful way to celebrate the spirit of community and for many to contribute in an everyday way to the efforts of the Foundation.

The Hewison Foundation was established in 2015, with the purpose of helping to break the cycle of disadvantage and improve the lives of others. The Hewison Foundation continues to expand their philanthropic efforts through the provision of grants and charitable donations to an array of charities and not for profit organisations.

The Trivia Night is one of the Foundation’s major fundraising events, along with the annual golf day.
